I don’t know if anyone has said it before, but… MOROCCAN OIL IS YOUR NEW BEST FRIEND! Buy it, use it, love it! It’s done wonders for my curly hair! They even have a curl cream that’s to die for!

I have corkscrew curls that are very thin and very frizzy. I just started using Garnier Fructis style Curl Calm Down, It’s anti frizz cream and its just magic. Nothing works for me, and I mean nothing, but I have to share how great this product is. I use it right after I wash my hair while its damp. It’s works great with gel for a better defined hold too.

Hi :) I just wanted to suggest something for all the people on this blog who straighten their curls like I do. Paul Mitchell’s Super Skinny works WONDERS. It used to take me 45 min to an hour to straighten my hair, now it takes me 20-30 min. Trust me, IT WORKS. It makes it easier to style, and even takes away some of the most extreme curls and tames them.

For anyone who wants a way to make their hair softer/more manageable, I’ve recently started moisturizing my hair weekly with one part conditioner and three parts olive oil. I just wet my hair, and apply the mixture in strands, detangling as I go. It has worked wonders for my hair.

Hey, advice on a product: Curly Sexy Hair conditioning curl cream is AWESOME. One bottle is like twenty bucks but it will last forever because you have to use very little of it to make it work.

Hey just wanted to share with my fellow curly peeps that argan oil has been helping me out lately with the frizz. It actually doesn’t take much, a little goes a LONG way. Plus when you buy it, you’re also helping out the women of the Berber tribe in Morocco :D

3 years ago I took the hatefull decision to go to the dark side and perm my hair.Right now I’m on my second try transitioning , but it’s been really hard. I was wondering if there is another curly (not black natural hair) transitioner out there…

beleive it or not ive noticed that my curls become softer and not as tight when i use a thicker moose like suave’s captivating curls (its a green and gray bottle) compared to tresseme’s styling moose. i personally always put product in my hair right after i wash it! :) it controls my hair better but seriously the suave stuff works for softer curls atleast for me

HELLO!!! I have a tip: Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Frizz Treatment, I only use it as leave-in I do with all condotioner because washing it Makes it worse. an it makes my hair stronger, and sometimes if I stay away from the Florida Humidity, my conditioner will harden like gel, but without all of the bad effects. I am left with soft, mane-gable curls that easily look even cuter tied into a low pony-tail.

Hair tip: I have had the best luck with Nexxus Therappe shampoo. Plus it’s not tested on animals!

Hey i suffer from really frizzy hair and i have tried all the expensive products to control it, and after all the money i have spent i’ve recently started using baby shampoo, it works amazingly. i usually wash my hair with the baby shampoo then tie it up in a tight ponytail to air dry, as it is drying my curls come out defined and shiny :) i thought i should share this advice with some people who feel the pain of frizzy hair :D

I am a really cheap and poor college student, so I don’t like spending a lot of money on hair product. Because of that I often end up getting the really cheap products or what is on sale. Suffice it to say that it doesn’t always work out. But, recently I have tried two, relatively cheap and amazing products. Both are TRESemme. The first is Split Remedy Leave-in conditioner spray. My hair has rarely ever been this soft. The other is Flawless curls mousse. It tames my curls well.

I found a youtube channel that is perfect for girls with more kinky or tigher curls. It also has all natural products, so theres no chemials that strip the moisture off. The channels name is Naptural85

Hi! I just recently found this product that works like a dream! It keeps my uncontrollable curls un-puffy and un-frizzed, and holds really well. It’s Schwartzkopf Curl Flex Creme and I just bought it from the local Coles/supermarket. I often straighten my hair, but I’m now wearing it natural with the help of this stuff! I highly recommend it! :)

Not exactly a Curly Hair Problem, but just a woman I found very helpful when learning how to do my own crazy curly hair… if you or anyone else doesn’t already know… Her name is Teri Laflesh.

I couldn’t really figure out where to submit this or whatever but there’s this amazing company called “Devacurl” (look it up on YouTube) and I use a product called AnGEL which basically just defines your curls so they look really good. I recommend it a lot. It’s perfect for frizzy thin hair!

I just discovered the beauty of coconut oil for those who were asking about frizzy hair! If when you wash your hair you don’t rinse out most of your conditioner and then wrap it up in a tee shirt until it’s wet but not dripping and warm some coconut oil between your fingers and apply it lightly from roots to ends… it eliminates frizz and keeps your hair shiny and soft.

I swear by a product called Mixed Chicks Leave In Conditioner. even though it’s pretty pricey, it’s so worth it for how well it works (and you do get a big bottle for your money). You just run some through your wet hair and let it air dry, and it forms natural, glossy curls. I got so many compliments on my hair after I started to use it!

here’s a tip i’ve picked up: when i straighten my hair or leave it natural and put it up, to avoid the short fuzzy “baby hairs” around my hairline, i use clear eyebrow gel! it comes with a little brush like a mascara wand, and i just comb it on to my baby hairs so they stay put (:

So this might seem really really weird but one way to control frizz, especially with curly hair, is to do a beer rinse. It sounds weird but I’ve tried it and it does kind of work. Instead of using just shower water to rinse out your shampoo or conditioner use beer. Just pour a bottle or can into your hair and wait maybe a minute then use cold water to rinse out the beer a little, which will also get rid of smell. I thought it was weird at first but it worked! Love your blog :)

Thanks to everyone who submitted advice! :)
Not a problem, but I wasn’t sure to submit my advice for my fellow curly hair girlies (and boys!). I live in Austrlia so I don’t know if my advice will apply to every one. I’ve found Herbal Essance Hello Hyrdation shampoo and condition really helps keep the frizz out of my hair. I also use ‘the ends’ by De Lorenzo, it helps reduces spilt ends and hence reduces frizz as the ends of your hair. Healthy hair, healthy curls, LESS FRIZZ!

I have some advice for those who this hasn’t occurred to already! On nights when I know I will be going out but I need to get ready (read: take a shower and do my hair) and maybe run errands beforehand, I always wear only a zip-up jacket (no shirt!) out so that I don’t have to pull anything over my head more than once in the day. No one is ever the wiser.

Thanks, everyone! :)
John Frieda products have been working really well for me lately, the hair color, styling products, detanglers, and smoothers. Finesse shampoo and conditioner works well on my hair, too, and the Dollar General brand knock off of No More Tangles. I have to rotate products (I think most people do), but this lineup seems to be a good one, at least for my curls.

Just wanted to share: I went to Whole Foods for the first time today, and they have about twenty different products within four or five brands dedicated to curly hair. They’re on the expensive side, but all of them were all-natural. If you didn’t already know about this store, it’s definitely a place to check out! :)

Hello! I just discovered this blog recently, so I don’t know whether or not this has already been mentioned, but I highly recommend Infusium leave-in treatment for frizz. Seriously, that stuff is made of unicorn tears or something. I don’t even need gel when I use it. (My hair is fairly short though, so it might not work as well on long hair.) Hope this is helpful to somebody :)

i have really tight ringlet curls. i brush my hair in the shower when it has conditioner in it and use a detangler spray sometimes to get rid of tangles. if i want tight curls i put mousse in it while its wet. i don’t have many frizz issues only when i brush it dry, but i hope this helps someone.
