Hey everyone, meet jemimalonglegs :)

I’m Imogen Cuthbertson (Midge!), 16, from Chelmsford, Essex, England.

Much to my mother’s surprise, I never grew out of my ‘baby curls’! I grew my hair really long until I was about 13 when I cut it all short! I wouldn’t say I regret it, but I wouldn’t do it again! I had it cut short and the curls went out of control! I’m currently in the process of growing it and trying to grow my fringe out as well. The curls have started to ‘drop’ which is good and now I have a few tight ringlets in places and the rest very loose curls to waves. My hair is naturally very thick so growing it has really helped.

I cannot live without product, especially Aussie ones! I wash my hair every other day because it does the opposite of what most peoples’ does: it goes incredibly dry and the curls just go all horrid and don’t settle. I use whatever shampoo we have and then use Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Deep Conditioner Frizz Remedy and leave that on my hair for the whole time I’m in the shower. I don’t towel dry my hair properly, just wrap it up on top of my head until I’m ready to deal with it! I comb through it whilst it’s wet and spray Aussie Hair Insurance Leave-In Conditioner evenly and comb through again. I then use Aussie Dual Personality Curl Defining and Shine Mousse and dry with a diffuser. I occasionally use some of the Aussie Curl Serum as this makes my hair really soft but it doesn’t feel ‘set’ enough just on it’s own.

Long live the curlies!

Hey everyone, meet kinjalee :)

Hi! My names Mackenna, I’m 19 years old and I live in Southern California. Growing up my hair has always been curly, really it was a constant experiment. My mom had curls when she was younger but they were a lot easier to manage than mine. I got into a funk where my hair was always in a ponytail but I hated it. Why should I never be able to wear my hair down? As I got older I got better with my hair, but I am still nowhere near a master of it yet, however, I usually have it under control. But then I decided to go to college….in Florida. Don’t even get me started on the humidity. That was a whole new battle!

I have a pretty good system going for my hair. I don’t use any shampoos or conditioners with sulfates and I only wash my hair three times a week to keep it from drying out. I get my hair trimmed regularly because when the ends die they are unmanageable. I like to use Marc Antony mouse for curls as well as their cream. I also love Wired by Rusk, it’s a great thicker cream as an alternative to gel which I’m not a big fan of. Midday I try to use an anti-frizz shine serum to keep my hair looking soft and shiny. I do hot olive treatments on my hair as well which seem to help the frizz.
